Kaiten Books Summer 2023 Update


Torrance, CA - Friday, June 9, 2023:

Hard to believe it, but we’re already at the halfway point of 2023! While the weather may not be cooking yet here in California, we here at Kaiten Books always have a few irons in the fire to heat things up.

As usual, let’s start off with news on our latest digital releases! First up we have Gacha Girls Corps Vol. 5 (manga) coming in hot on June 23rd, 2023 later this month. While we don’t have solid release dates yet, we also wanted to let you know that Loner Life in Another World Vol. 9 (manga) and Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! Vol. 3 (manga) are also in the works and will be coming VERY soon in Summer 2023, and we will be providing updates as soon as we nail down that information. We have also expanded the number of digital retailers that offer our titles, so be sure to check out Kobo, Apple Books, and more for your favorite Kaiten Books series!

For fans of physical releases, we have good news! There are a total of three brand-new print runs coming in over the next couple of months. To start things off, Loner Life in Another World Vol. 7 (manga) is going on sale today, June 9th, 2023 (nice), followed by Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! Vol. 2 (manga) on July 7th, 2023, and finally The Bottom-Tier Baron’s Accidental Rise to the Top Vol. 1 (manga) on July 21st, 2023. As always, pre-orders can be made through RightStuf, Amazon, and more, with links to each storefront up on our website as they become available. We have also been continuing to work our hardest to ensure that our titles continue to be available for fans that may not live in the US or Canada.



We saw that physical copies of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 2 completely sold out earlier in the year, so we are happy to report a fresh reprint just arrived at our distributor. More stock should be making its way to all your favorite storefronts promptly.

Gacha Girls Corps Double Feature and More!



Kaiten Books Winter 2023 Update


Torrance, CA - Friday, January 27, 2023:

A Happy New Year from all of us at Kaiten Books! It’s been unusually cold over here in California, but we hope you’re enjoying getting settled into 2023 as we make our way through January. What better way to kick things off with some announcements to ring in the new year!

First off, new digital releases! Look forward to catching up with Heihachi and the girls in Gacha Girls Corps Vol. 4 (manga) when it releases digital-first today, January 27th, 2023. We also have Loner Life in Another World Vol. 8 (manga) available for preorder and ready to release on February 14th, 2023 for a nice Valentine’s Day surprise! And while it does not have a fixed release date at the moment, we thought it would be a good idea to let you know to expect The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 6 some time in March 2023, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.

We are also happy to announce we have new print releases on the horizon! It’s a Gacha Girls double feature with the physicals for Gacha Girls Corps Vol. 2 (manga) going on sale today, January 27th, 2023. In even more good news, the final volume of the VTuber Dad trilogy is finally coming to print as well! My Dad’s the Queen of All VTubers?! Vol. 3 is hitting store shelves on March 3rd, 2023. This marks our first completed series in print, so be sure to grab a copy to experience the finale of Takashi and his terminally online parents to celebrate the occasion! For those that had a hard time finding The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 1 over the holidays, we are happy to report the latest reprint has hit our distributor and should be available at all your favorite storefronts. They are still going fast as ever, so be sure to grab yours while you can!


It has been a long time coming, but we are finally in the process of adding our ebooks to other digital platforms as well! We will be slowly rolling out our current catalog to services such as Kobo, iBooks, and more in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your platform of choice.

A Brand New Series Rises to the Top?!



Kaiten Books Fall 2022 Update


Torrance, CA - Friday, October 14, 2022:

With the changing of the seasons upon us, it’s time for another update from us at Kaiten Books! Let’s cut to the chase and see what’s in the pipeline as the year starts to wind down:

First and foremost, we have a brand-new license to announce! Follow the misadventures of Rize Babalon as he bluffs his way into becoming a bona-fide baron in The Bottom-Tier Baron’s Accidental Rise to the Top Vol. 1 (manga) coming out digital-first on November 4th, 2022.

But that’s not all! Print editions of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 4 will be available just in time for the holidays on December 2nd, 2022, with Loner Life in Another World Vol. 6 (manga) joining shortly after on December 9th, 2022. Pre-orders can be made through RightStuf, Book Depository, Amazon, and more, with links to each storefront up on our website.



As a general announcement, we also wanted to let everyone know that physicals for Gacha Girls Corps and other series are in the works, and we will provide more info when we can.


Also, some of you who wanted to get their hands on physicals of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting may have noticed that volume 1 has been a bit hard to get a hold of as of late, but rest assured there’s another reprint in the works that should hit our distributor in the coming months!
