The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Anime Adaptation Is Live!



Torrance, CA - Wednesday, July 13, 2022:

Hey there, it's the Kaiten Books team once more, with a big reminder for all the fans of The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. As of last week, the anime adaptation of the series has begun airing! The first episode has already aired, with the second coming later this week, so be sure to tune in.



If you're looking for a place to watch the series with English subtitles, Crunchyroll should have you covered. Their simulcasts are on Thursdays at 8:30 AM PDT!



Also, as a little celebratory gift from us, the first volume of the series will be available for FREE on Bookwalker all the way up until Thursday, the 14th of July at 11:59 PM PDT. If you're looking to get into the series for the first time and try it out while the anime is airing, feel free!



While we're at it, just another little reminder that the 3rd volume of the series will be having its print release in around a month from now, on August 16th, 2022. Go and pre-order if you're interested!

A Summer to Remember!



Torrance, CA - Tuesday, June 21, 2022:

Hello again from all of us at Kaiten Books! The first day of summer is here, which means it's the perfect time for another update! We've got a few things to talk about as we head into the new season, so let's hop right in.



First and foremost, Anime Expo 2022 is right around the corner—and we'll be there to celebrate it coming back with everyone else! Come find us at Booth 2817 in the Exhibit Hall (shown above) from July 1st – 4th at the LA Convention Center to pick up physical copies of your favorite Kaiten Books series and snag yourself some exclusive bonus swag as well!



Speaking of physicals, we have a couple prints coming in hot off the presses real soon! The physical edition of Loner Life in Another World Vol. 5 (manga) will be hitting storefronts this coming Thursday, June 23rd, while The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting Vol. 3 will be available starting August 16th.


On the digital front, The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting Vol. 4 will be available going live this Friday, June 24th. (Just in time to catch up before the anime starts airing in July!)



Also, as a fun treat, Mori Calliope from hololive English will be continuing her manga live-reading series with the third and final volume of My Dad's the Queen of All VTubers?! this coming Thursday, June 23rd! Tune into her stream at 19:00 JST / 03:00 PDT / 11:00 BST to join her in sending off the series with a bang.

A Whole New World



Torrance, CA - Tuesday, May 3, 2022:

Hello and happy Spring to all from Kaiten Books! We’ve got quite a few things to talk about this time around, so let’s hop right in and get on with the updates. For fans of The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting who are eagerly awaiting the anime, the official air date has been set for July 7th, 2022 in Japan! You can see all the trailers and latest updates for it on the Official Twitter, so be sure to follow if you can’t wait to see Kirishima and Yaeka in action! (Like us.)


Speaking of anime, we have some exciting news—we will be participating in Anime Expo 2022 as an exhibitor! You can find us at Booth 2817 in the Exhibit Hall, so if you’re planning on going, come say hello!


We also have some updates for our digital releases! First up is the 3rd and final volume of My Dad’s the Queen of All VTubers?! which released last Friday, April 29th, 2022, on digital storefronts. Next up is Loner Life in Another World Vol. 6 (manga) releasing May 27th, 2022, and Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant! Vol. 2 (manga) releasing June 10th, 2022.


In printing news, we have more physical releases on the horizon! Look forward to Loner Life in Another World Vol. 5 (manga) being available for purchase on June 23rd, 2022 and The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Vol. 3 going on sale August 16th, 2022. Pre-orders can be made through the usual suspects via RightStuf, Book Depository, Amazon, and more, with links to each storefront up on our website. Our friends at RightStuf are also holding a weekly sale that includes all of our releases at a discount, so go check it out right here if you’re looking for a good deal!


For those who haven’t had luck finding some of our physical releases, then we’re happy to report reprints for series like Loner Life in Another World and The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting are en route to our distributor. Print times are still being affected, so be sure to grab them while you can, since it might be some time before we can get more printed!


Again, we would like to thank everyone for sticking with us as we continue to adjust to constantly changing print times and price fluctuations. We will do everything we can to keep everyone in the loop as we continue to get our physical releases out as fast as possible.
